As US border crisis worsens, Biden’s broken his migrant record AGAIN

Joe Biden somehow keeps breaking his own records: December saw the highest-ever monthly total of migrant encounters at the southern border, with 276,000

That grim number breaks September’s record of 269,735; since Oct. 1, the country’s let in 760,000 illegal migrants.

Don’t forget fiscal 2023 saw a total of more than 3.2 million encounters nationwide.

Insanely, that’s closing in on the number of registered US births the prior year: 3,667,758 births, basically unchanged from 2021.

When you factor in “gotaways” (migrants seen but not stopped) and those never spotted at all, we’re could be looking at more illegal migrants than births.

Or at least rough equality.

And there’s no sign of the inflows letting up.

Biden swore to protect and defend his nation, so you’d be forgiven for imagining he’s at last waking up to the disaster he’s created, swinging into high gear to bring back real enforcement and stop the tide.

Quite the opposite

During his administration’s much-vaunted trip this week to Mexico — Biden sent his chief border enabler, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, along with Secretary of State Antony Blinken — the White House rolled over for Mexico’s far-left President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The “Joint Communique” the meeting produced, with its woke claptrap about the “root causes” of immigration, make it clear AMLO will do nothing to close the floodgates, and that Team Biden has heartily cosigned this plan.

Worse, the document hinted at a full, massive amnesty for the uncounted millions of Mexican nationals living in the United States illegally.

Why?

Why is Biden following this disastrous course?

Especially when it makes no political sense at all.

His border policy is a major driver of his horrifically poor job-approval numbers.

This policy is clearly meant to appease a tiny slice of the Democratic electorate: vociferous, terminally-online leftists like AOC.

Everyone else suffers: the citizens in overwhelmed border towns, New Yorkers and Chicagoans facing fiscal pain and the migrants themselves.

Biden’s dug himself into the deepest of holes here — and is plainly determined to keep digging until his shovel gets taken away
