Aubrey Huff leaves social media after getting called out by conservative influencer over ‘bad decisions’

Former MLB player Aubrey Huff is taking a seat on the social media bench to start 2024.

Huff, a two-time World Series champion with the San Francisco Giants, who retired in 2014, deleted his account on X after he was called out by Isabella Maria DeLuca, a 23-year-old right-wing political activist, who claimed he sent her a salacious message before he belittled her in a separate post.

It started when Huff weighed in on an apparent rift between DeLuca and Rachel Wilson, who goes by “Rach4Patriarchy” on X, which included Wilson commenting on DeLuca’s appearance in a video of her making a cake that she shared back in October.

Huff called the drama a “cat fight” between DeLuca and Wilson in a since-deleted post on X, which resurfaced in a screenshot on the social media platform.

“[It’s] proof that most today’s women even know… their sexuality is all they bring to the table,” Huff allegedly wrote in a reply post to Wilson, who denied “hating” on DeLuca.

“Complete with a desperate need for attention, crippling debt, drama, delusional self worth, & a complete lack of accountability.”

Huff also tagged both DeLuca and Wilson in the post.

That’s when DeLuca chimed in.

“Is that why you dm’ed me? Because of my ‘delusional self worth’ and ‘desperate need for attention’?” DeLuca wrote in a reply to Huff’s alleged post, which has since been deleted.

DeLuca then posted a screen grab of a message she claimed she received from Huff’s verified account on X on Dec. 25, which read: “Hey beautiful let’s Colab [collaborate] over cocktails and bad decisions,” including a winking face emoji.

“This you?” DeLuca wrote in her post.

Huff’s X account, @aubrey_huff, “doesn’t exist” when searched on the Elon Musk-led app.

In a separate post, DeLuca claimed she “never responded” to Huff’s message and asked, “Is that why I got unfollowed? Is that why you’re attacking me too?

“Because I didn’t want to make ‘bad decisions’ with you on Christmas morning?”

DeLuca also shared a screen shot of Huff’s bio on MLB.com, which states he married Barbara Heaton on January 27, 2007, and share two sons, Jayce, 15, and Jagger, 13.

The 47-year-old Huff and Heaton reportedly divorced in 2017.

“Oh! I know why you deleted it!” DeLuca wrote. “You’re married!”

DeLuca added that Huff “deleted his whole [X] account,” including his initial post.

DeLuca has 121,000 followers on Instagram, and her account is private as of Wednesday.

Her X account, which has 325,700 followers, is public.

Huff, who played for 13 MLB seasons, previously made headlines when his Twitter account (now X) was suspended in 2021 for spreading disinformation about COVID-19.

He was suspended by Twitter on a separate occasion for his posted comments on the Jan. 6th storming of the Capitol building.

Huff’s account was reinstated after Elon Musk bought the site.
