Jennifer Lopez talks in circles when asked if 4th marriage to Ben Affleck will stick: ‘Embarrassing and awkward’

Fourth time is the charm?

Jennifer Lopez appeared to be talking in circles Sunday during the 2024 Golden Globes after a reporter from Variety not-so-subtly asked if her marriage to Ben Affleck was her final one.

“So how do you know your last wedding is it?” veteran Variety reporter Marc Malkin asked Lopez, 54, on the show’s red carpet.

“Because when they say you know, you know,” Lopez, who wed Affleck in a private ceremony in 2022, calmly told the reporter. “And other times when you didn’t know, you also didn’t know.”

“I think you always go in with the best of intentions every single time that you ever leap into anything,” the Grammy winner stated while chuckling. “I do anyway, not just in my personal life but in my professional life, too.”

Malkin then referred to her upcoming album, “This Is Me . . . Now,” that will touch on their relationship.

“And what does Ben think of this? Of you playing up the wedding aspect of your life?” Malkin pressed.

“I think, you know, he sees me as an artist, and he knows that I’m going to express myself, and he’s always just, he’s my biggest fan and my biggest supporter as I am of his, which I’m so glad to be here tonight,” Lopez gushed. “Because, you know, he’s nominated, and I’m so proud of him, and I love the movie [‘Air’]. I really think it was one of the best movies of the year, so I’m happy for him and Matt [Damon] who are both nominated.”

The footage sparked outrage from several X (formerly Twitter) users, who called the interview very awkward.

“I know he’s been with Variety for forever but this man is such a horrible interviewer enough,” one fan wrote.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez tied the knot in a secret Las Vegas ceremony in 2022.

“This interview was so embarrassing and awkward – if I was J Lo I would have walked away,” a second person stated.

“The interviewer could have asked JLo about her film projects or her new music that she will release soon, but he preferred to ask her awkward and rude questions,” stated a third user.

Lopez was also questioned by reporters after several photos of Affleck, 51, looking grumpy surfaced on the internet last month while the couple shopped.

“Ben is doing alright. You don’t need to worry about Ben, let me just tell you,” Lopez chided “Entertainment Tonight.”

A week after the shopping photos emerged, the couple appeared in a series of snaps that looked like they were having a heated discussion while vacationing in St. Barts.

“He is good. He is happy,” Lopez told the interviewer. “He is here — he is nominated. He’s like, ‘I’m chilling, I don’t understand what people are so pressed for.’ “

“They don’t pick up on my face,” added Lopez.

Affleck’s film “Air” was nominated for the best musical or comedy film category alongside “Barbie,” “American Fiction,” The Holdovers,” “May December” and “Poor Things,” which ended up taking home the trophy.
