Heroes, zeros and full blitz from the Jets’ 17-3 victory against the Patriots on Sunday afternoon.

Hero

Jets RB Breece Hall finished the season strong with 37 carries for 178 yards and the only touchdown of the game, a 50-yard run in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Hall nearly got to 1,000 yards for the season, finishing with 994.

Zero

Patriots QB Bailey Zappe was terrible. He threw two interceptions in three plays in the fourth quarter. He managed only 88 passing yards and was sacked seven times.

Unsung hero

Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein finished off a terrific season with another great day. Zuerlein made 3 of 4 field goals on a snowy day that made for tough kicking conditions.

Key stat

15 Straight losses for the Jets against the Patriots leading into this game. That streak is now over. This was their first win over New England since 2015 and first win in Foxborough since the 2010 playoffs.

Quote of the day

“I really wasn’t upset ’cause everybody in the league that watches me knows that I have the potential to be probably the best back in the NFL. If not, I’m top two, top three.”
