Group of teens push elderly man off pier late at night while laughing on camera: ‘Go, go, go’

An elderly man in Australia has been shoved off a pier late at night while being filmed by a group of teenagers, forcing onlookers to save him from the water.

In shocking video shared on social media, a group of teenagers are seen parading down the pier on Victoria Australia’s Mornington Peninsula on Sunday night, egging one another on.

“Go, go, go, go,” one of the boys says when they spot the elderly man standing alone on the pier.

The man looks up at the group, before one of the boys shoves him off the pier, causing him to fall a fair distance into the dark water below.

The teens burst into laughter.

“Yeah, the boys!” one of them shouts, before the clip cuts.

3AW Melbourne radio host Jacqui Felgate said she had spoken with Victoria Police and the teens were known both to them and locals in the area for “terrorizing residents”.

It has been reported the victim was a 79-year-old man who could not swim.

He was not seriously injured and was pulled from the water by onlookers, police said.

A 14-year-old boy was charged on Tuesday with reckless endangerment and unlawful assault.

The teen will appear before a children’s court at a later date.
