Taylor Swift walked right past ex Calvin Harris at the Grammys — here’s how he reacted
Everybody’s watching her, but she’s walking right past you, ooh, ooh.
Taylor Swift escaped an awkward run-in with her ex-boyfriend, DJ, and producer Calvin Harris, at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Swift, 34, who made history Sunday as the first artist to win Album of the Year four times, was late getting to her seat inside the Crypto.com Arena, which magically appeared to work in host Trevor Noah’s favor as he was discussing the “Karma” singer as she entered the room.
“Look at this: I say their names, and they pop out,” Noah joked as Swift strutted to her table wearing a white Schiaparelli gown and black gloves.
Harris, 40, looked over his shoulder at Swift and joined in the audience’s round of applause, showing no signs of “Bad Blood” between the two former lovers.
Harris’ “Miracle” lost the Best Pop Dance Recording award to Kylie Minogue’s “Padam Padam.”
He attended the ceremony with his wife, Vick Hope, whom he married in September.
Swift and Harris dated from March 2015 to June 2016.
She secretly wrote “This Is What You Came For” with Harris, which was performed by Rihanna, under a pseudonym.
The song has over 1.6 billion Spotify streams, and the music video has over 2.7 billion views on YouTube.
News broke in July 2016 that Swift was behind the song, sending Harris into a frenzy on Twitter, now known as X.
He later told British GQ why he “snapped” at his ex in a series of angry tweets.

“It was completely the wrong instinct,” Harris admitted. “I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.”
He also revealed in an earlier British GQ conversation that the media attention around his and Swift’s relationship was hard for him to handle.
“It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly. The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself,” he said. “When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus.
“She respected my feelings in that sense,” Harris added. “I’m not good at being a celebrity. But when it ended, all hell broke loose. Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure. It took me a minute to realize that none of that matters. I’m a positive guy.”
Swift has famously moved on from that relationship to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
She is expected to cheer him on in Las Vegas on Sunday as the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
