Prince Harry to travel to UK following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis

Prince Harry will soon be traveling to the UK to see King Charles III following his cancer diagnosis on Monday.

The Duke spoke with his father about the diagnosis and is planning to pay His Majesty a visit in the coming days, a source close to Harry said.

The shocking diagnosis, which comes less than 15 months after the 75-year-old King took the throne, was revealed in a statement by Buckingham Palace Monday afternoon.

“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted,” the palace said in a statement. “Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.”

“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.

“Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” the palace added.

The disease similarly affects men in the UK, with more than a third of new cases appearing in people older than 75, according to the National Health Services.

The NHS said there was a surge in inquiries about prostate health following Charles’ treatment last week.
