A 38-year-old woman was found dead – with a bloody iron next to her head – inside a Lower Manhattan hotel late Thursday morning, cops and police sources said.

A hotel maid discovered the woman lying on the floor, under a blanket, with a head wound inside the SoHo 54 Hotel on Watts Street near Sixth Avenue in SoHo around 10:30 a.m., according to authorities and sources.

The iron was discovered next to her body. Investigators were trying to determine whether the iron was used as a weapon, sources said.

Responding officers found her unconscious and unresponsive, and she was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The victim had been staying at the hotel for several days.
