Micah Parsons shames fans who followed him at airport by posting their photos: ‘Too far’

Five yards for encroachment.

Micah Parsons teed off on X on fans he believed violated his personal boundaries during a recent trip to the airport, claiming some even followed him to his car even after he declined to sign autographs.

It all started late Thursday afternoon when Parsons posted a photo of a woman holding a Cowboys helmet looking at him.

“The fact it was 8 grown men waiting outside of my gate with mini helmets and pictures when I got off my planes is insane!!,” Parsons tweeted. “I hope yall realize sometimes how much athletes gotta hold back ! This lady is currently following me!”

Four minutes later, he posted another photo around what appears to be the baggage area with the aforementioned woman still holding the helmet, a man looking at him while holding a Parsons Cowboys jersey and another man holding what appears to be holding a piece of clothing.

Parsons tweeted: “This women and these kids followed me to my luggage now! Is there any type of self respect and dignity any more?”

Parsons expanded on the topic to provide more context four hours after that second tweet since some fans questioned why he didn’t stop to sign for the fans or decline their advances.

Parsons wrote: “For everyone saying I didn’t decline !! Yall don’t think I declined and asked politely to be left alone!! There were grown men who followed me and crowd to my car! At what point is it too far in confused?!”

Parsons noted that he believes he’s more than gracious when it comes to accommodating fans but this interaction crossed a line.

“In the end I don’t think there has been an athlete more for the fan than me!” Parsons wrote. “It’s just a time and place for everything rushing me after I get off a flight is not the time period!”

Those tweets showcase the reality some athletes face when in public, and how something as simple as flying can turn into a negative event.

Parsons is coming off a third-place finish in the Defensive Player of the Year voting and is awaiting a massive contract extension from the Cowboys.
