King Charles, dozens of celebrities offer support to Ukraine on war anniversary: ‘Stay strong!’

Over 30 celebrities and King Charles showered Ukrainians with words of encouragement to mark the second anniversary of Ukraine’s bloody war with Russia.

Robert DeNiro, Viggo Mortensen and Catherine Deneuve were among dozens of actors, musicians, philosophers and athletes who rallied behind Ukraine and its citizens in a three-minute video compiled by United 24, a fundraising initiative organized by President Volodymr Zelensky to support the war-torn nation.

“I know how much strength you need, and how you have to be there every day to fight it all,” Deneuve said in a scene shot outside in Paris.

“Stay strong! We will always stand right next to you!” Kevin Bacon cheered.

Many cast the ongoing war not only as a fight to defend Ukraine, but the West and others nations across the globe.

“If the war criminal Putin is successful in his illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine, no country will be safe,” DeNiro said.

King Charles III separately praised Ukraine and its citizens for their continued strength as their harrowing fight continues.

“Despite the tremendous hardship and pain inflicted upon them, Ukrainians continue to show the heroism with which the world associates them so closely,” he said in a statement shared on X.

“Theirs is true valor, in the face of indescribable aggression.”
