Taekwondo instructor strangled student, 7, hour after black belt ceremony before stabbing dad, stealing victim’s clothes: cops

A seven-year-old was handed his black belt in a special ceremony by his taekwondo instructor an hour before the man strangled him, police claim.

The boy and Min Cho, 41, were allegedly killed by instructor Kwang Kyung Yoo at Lion’s Taekwondo and Martial Arts Studio in North Parramatta on February 19.

Yoo has been charged with three counts of murder after allegedly also killing Mrs Cho’s husband Steven.

New details about the horrifying alleged murders have now come to light.

According to The Daily Telegraph, police will allege that Yoo, 49, strangled the boy after a class belt presentation in a back room of his martial arts studio.

He then used Mrs. Cho’s car to drive to her home in Baulkham Hills and fatally stabbed her husband Steven Cho, police will allege.

After allegedly killing Mr. Cho, Yoo took a shower in an ensuite bathroom of the Chos’ home and dressed in Mr Cho’s clothes before returning to his own home in North Kellyville.

He was arrested at hospital and later charged.

He will face court again in April.

Speaking for the family, a neighbor said: “They are very emotional, heartbroken … it is still so much shock for them.”

Funerals for the three alleged victims will be held next week.
