Bears reporter exits radio interview, drops F-bomb after frustrating audio issues: ‘Alright f–k this’

Hearing your own voice echo during a radio hit isn’t a great time.

ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, who covers the Bears beat reminded us all as she abruptly cut an interview short during a Chicago radio appearance.

Cronin was set to appear on ESPN Chicago’s “Kap & J. Hood Morning Show” on Friday and was asked about expected No. 1 overall pick, Caleb Williams, who may find himself with the Bears on draft night.

Cronin, seemingly annoyed while talking and hearing an echo in her voice, grabbed her wired headphones and clearly said, “Alright, f–k this” into the microphone before leaving the interview altogether.

Host David Kaplan appeared befuddled, as many probably were, and the show’s duo said they’d try to fix the connection and bring her back.

Awful Announcing reported that it’s unclear if Cronin, who did not return to the show, was either disconnected due to the station’s description or her own feed.

Cronin hasn’t addressed the incident yet and did appear on “SportsCenter” later for a live hit, where she did not drop any NSFW language.

She did, however, say Williams was impressed by the “makeup” of the Bears as they get ready for April’s draft.

Cronin, who previously worked at the Jose Mercury News, joined ESPN and first covered the Vikings before shifting south to join the Bears beat in Chicago.
