This is one for the history books.
Thomas Detry, a Belgian golfer who competes on the PGA and European Tours, had a hole to remember at the Cognizant Classic — for a dubious reason.
In the sixth hole of the second day of competition, Detry, 31, missed not one, not two, not three, not four, but five close-range putts before sinking a sixth.
The sixth hole was a par-4 and 461 yards long, and he finished it with a quadruple-bogey.

The constant misfiring contributed to him posting a score of 80 for his second round score, which was nine strokes above par.
Over two rounds at the PGA National Members Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, he shot a rough plus-11.
He finished 143rd on the tournament leaderboard — dead last — on Friday night and obviously missed the cut.
Bud Cauley, who is at 11-under par, has a one stroke lead heading into the third round.
According to USA Today, three of the missed putts were just under four feet long.
Detry has been a pro golfer since 2016, competing on The Challenge Tour.
His best finish at a major came in 2023 where he tied for 13th at The Open Championship.
This finish, though, is probably one he’d like to forget.
