Super Bowl 2025 odds: Huge public money comes in on Chiefs

Public money is pouring in on the Kansas City Chiefs’ chances at a third straight Super Bowl title.

The Chiefs have moved from +750 to +650 to win the 2025 Lombardi Trophy at BetMGM Sportsbook after sports bettors hammered their Super Bowl futures following their third championship in the Patrick Mahomes era.

They are currently getting two times more money to win next year’s Super Bowl than any other team in the NFL at BetMGM, according to the sportsbook’s public relations manager, John Ewing.

Despite a ton of love for Kansas City from the public, the San Francisco 49ers – the team the Chiefs took down in Super Bowl 2024 – remain the favorites to win it next year with +500 odds.

The Baltimore Ravens (+900) are the only other teams with odds better than 10/1.

They are followed by the Buffalo Bills (+1200) and Detroit Lions (+1200), who round out the top five.

The Chiefs are slight favorites to win the AFC (+350), ahead of the Ravens (+450).

Kansas City will head into next season looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

And there’s a shot they’re even better come Week 1.

After dealing with frustrating dropped passes from his receiving corp throughout last season, Mahomes may get a new WR1 in free agency.

The Chiefs currently have the third-best odds (+500) to land veteran wide receiver Mike Evans, who would give Mahomes his best pass option outside of Travis Kelce since Tyreek Hill’s departure after the 2021 season.

Their Super Bowl chances will take a hit if they’re unable to retain star defensive lineman Chris Jones though.

Jones is set to become a free agent in March, although the Chiefs are heavy favorites (-175) to bring him back into the fold.
