Tyreek Hill’s lawyer claims suing influencer broke leg tripping over dog

Tyreek Hill has responded to a lawsuit from influencer Sophie Hall that claimed the Dolphins star broke her leg with “crushing force” during a football lesson at his Florida mansion last summer.

Hill’s attorney, Julius B. Collins, called the allegations “baseless” in a statement to ESPN and said the suit was filed with the intent to “generate bad publicity for Mr. Hill in an attempt to ‘scare tactic’ him into personally covering the cost of Ms. Hall’s medical bills.”

In her lawsuit, Hall, 35, claimed she was invited to be a house guest of Hill’s for “several days”, but that that he became “angry” and “embarrassed” when she knocked him back during a football drill.

Hill was alleged to have retaliated by “charg[ing] into her violently and with great force, resulting in significant and serious injuries.”

Hill’s lawyer claimed Hall broke her leg tripping over a dog.

According to ESPN, Hall’s suit did refer to a puppy disrupting the football drill but did not cite the dog as the underlying cause of the leg injury.

Hill’s attorney also told the outlet that the drills were “playful” and that the wideout has filed a claim with his homeowner’s insurance with the plan of “fully covering” Hall’s medical bills.

The receiver’s suit accused Hill of assault and battery, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence.

Speaking to reporters earlier this week, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said the organization was aware of the allegations but declined to get into more details.

“We were in communication with NFL security, so I really can’t comment on anything of that until we get all our information and find out what happened,” Grier said. “Tyreek has been a good addition for us, but in terms of all the off-field stuff, we’ll have to get all the information before we can really comment on it.”
