Hannah Brown from ‘The Bachelorette’ on her new rom-com fiction book

Roll tide, y’all.

We’re feeling the Southern fanfare-inspired excitement, too, because we interviewed Hannah Brown on her new book, “Mistakes We Never Made,” debuting on May 7.

The fictional rom-com with an enemies-to-lovers trope happened to be one of the best books we read in February (thanks, Hannah B., for the early copy!) and is “the perfect book to read by the beach or the pool this summer,” according to Brown herself, in The Post’s exclusive conversation with former Bachelorette, “Dancing with the Stars” mirrorball champion and host of the “Better Tomorrow” podcast.

“A lot of people know me because [they have been] rooting for me in romance,” Brown exclusively told The Post. “And so, to be able to kind of, take my audience on a journey into something I love so much, which is reading, and being able to take those two parts of my life and bring them together and write this amazing book, was something I was really excited to do.”

However, this isn’t Brown’s first foray into the publishing space. In November 2021, she brought “God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life’s Best (and Worst) Moments,” which she told us is her “quarter-life-crisis memoir.” Her upcoming rom-com, “Mistakes We Never Made,” is her first fictional piece.

“It’s about Emma who can be a little bit Type-A,” Brown began, sharing a glimpse into the plot line of the new spring release. “She takes on the responsibilities of everyone around her and her best friend, who is the bride-to-be, goes missing two days before the big day, the wedding day. And, she is on a wild goose chase to find her but she needs a car — and the only person that can really take her along is her arch-nemesis, Finn.”

“Mistakes We Never Made” by Hannah Brown is available for preorder and officially comes to market on May 7. “It’s a really fun, steamy book that I feel like everyone will enjoy,” Brown said.

We loved reading through Emma and Finn’s story; the characters were both likable. The worst part of reading? Flipping through a story where you’re not emotionally connected to any of the protagonists or secondary characters. This book, regardless of where you come from or what you believe in, is quite lighthearted and the quintessential book for your spring and summer travels.

And, what better time to release a new fictional rom-com than now, the era when everyone is hosting a book club? Uniquely, the multi-hatted creative teamed up with McAlister’s Deli to unveil a brand-new partnership.

“I have a busy schedule, but I can not put down a good book, and I feel like being able to meet with other people who also enjoy the love of reading is really important to me,” Brown shared. “It’s National Reading Month for all of March so I was able to partner with McAlister’s Deli to bring together the trifecta: good food, good friends and a good book.”

At McAlister’s Deli, you can choose two food combinations inspired by some of the company’s favorite genres: adventure, comedy, romance and fantasy. Simply look for the “Choose 2” menu items that say “Book Club Approved” and make a combination you’ll love. It’s Hannah Brown-approved.

Aside from dishing out some yummy eats, Brown is also focused on her upcoming wedding with beau Adam Woolard. And, unlike the Sybil character in “Mistakes We Never Made,” she told The Post she doesn’t plan on leaving him at the altar.

“Gosh, to experience so much life in such a short amount of time,” Brown shared. “But I’m so, thankful for the opportunities that I’ve had to be able to even bring this book into a reality for myself and to be able to find the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with, and start planning all that. It’s definitely been a busy time, I will say, but it’s been really great.”

Now’s the time to preorder “Mistakes We Never Made” by Hannah Brown. When we tell you it was one of our favorites of the year — and we read a lot — we wholeheartedly mean it.
