2024 NFL Draft odds: Brock Bowers projected to pair with elite quarterback

Justin Herbert may be getting his best pass weapon yet in next month’s NFL Draft.

The Los Angeles Chargers are the most likely destination for Brock Bowers, one of the best tight end prospects in recent history, according to Vegas oddsmakers.

Jim Harbaugh’s new club, which currently hold the No. 5 pick in April’s draft, is currently a +310 favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook to select the star Georgia tight end.

They edge out the Indianapolis Colts (+500, 15th pick), New York Jets (+750, 10th pick) and Cincinnati Bengals (+850, 18th pick), who could all use Bowers in their offensive attacks.

Here’s a look at the full odds.

Bowers was a key piece of a Bulldogs team that went 42-2 and won two Nationals Championships during his tenure.

He scored 31 total touchdowns with 175 catches and 2,538 receiving yards in three seasons.

Bowers is widely considered the best tight end in the 2024 NFL Draft and is looking to become just the sixth tight end to be selected in the top 10 since 2000.

He said he met with Harbaugh and the Chargers during a press conference at the NFL Combine last week.

In February, Bowers made it known that he’d be open to joining the Herbert-Harbaugh duo in Southern California.

“That would be awesome,” Bowers said of potentially being drafted by the team, per Chargers Unleashed. “I feel like it would be a great fit playing for Coach [Jim] Harbaugh and Justin Herbert.”

Outside of Herbert, the Chargers are undergoing a bit of a makeover on the offensive side of the ball.

Running back Austin Ekeler will become a free agent this month and there is uncertainty about the future of wide receiver Keenan Allen in Los Angeles.

Gerald Everett, who will turn 30 before next season, was the Chargers’ primary starting tight end last season, making 51 catches for 411 yards and three touchdowns.

Like Ekeler, he is also a free agent this offseason.
