Josh Jacobs next team odds: Bookies predict running back will remain a Raider

It appears Josh Jacobs and the Raiders may be headed for a reunion in Las Vegas.

The 26-year-old running back is heavily favored to return to Sin City next season despite being a pending free agent.

The Raiders are -320 at DraftKings Sportsbook to be the team where Jacobs takes his next NFL snaps.

They far outpace the Los Angeles Chargers (+750) and Houston Texans (+850), who are in the mix for other free agent running backs such as Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry, on the odds board at DraftKings.

The Raiders decided against placing the franchise tag on Jacobs, which would have cost them $14.1 million, for the second straight season, allowing him to test free agency.

In 2022, Jacobs enjoyed a breakout season during his fourth in the NFL, rushing for a league-best 1,653 yards and 12 touchdowns in 17 games.

He took a step back last season, running for 805 yards with six touchdowns in 13 games.

Jacobs’ rushing yards per game dropped from 97.2 to 61.9 year-over-year.

He now enters a crowded free agent for running backs, which includes not only Barkley and Henry, but potentially Austin Ekeler, Tony Pollard and D’Andre Swift as well.

If Jacobs departs Las Vegas, the Jim Harbaugh-led Chargers, who may be parting ways with Ekeler in what could be a running back carousel this summer.

Betting on the NFL?

The Chargers are expected to revamp their offense around Justin Herbert this offseason.

They are also the lead contenders to draft tight end Brock Bowers next month, according to Vegas oddsmakers.

The Texans, who have a ton of cap space this offseason, are expected to look for an upgrade at running back as well to support their dominant pass game led by quarterback C.J. Stroud.
