The Jets could be adding Mr. Irrelevant in a month.
The team was awarded three compensatory picks in the 2024 NFL Draft on Friday, including pick No. 257, the last pick in the draft.
The player selected with that pick is known as “Mr. Irrelevant.”
Jets general manager Joe Douglas has traded Day 3 picks in the past, so it’s no guarantee the Jets will be on the clock in the final minutes of the Draft.
The other picks the Jets got were pick No. 218, which is in the sixth round and pick No. 256, which is in the seventh round.
The Jets now have eight picks in this year’s Draft.
One in the first and third rounds and two in the fourth, sixth and seventh rounds.
