Flau’jae Johnson’s brother arrested for allegedly pushing, stepping on female employee during LSU-South Carolina brawl

LSU women’s basketball guard Flau’jae Johnson’s brother is facing disturbing accusations stemming from Sunday’s brawl.

Trayron Milton, 24, was arrested and charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct, according to the Associated Press.

As a melee broke out involving Johnson during LSU’s 79-72 loss to South Carolina in the SEC Tournament championship game on Sunday, Milton jumped over the scorer’s table and entered the court before being handcuffed and removed by police.

He was then arrested by the Greenville Police Department, which accuses him of pushing down a female SEC employee and stepping on her shoulders on his way to the court, according to the report.

Milton is still in jail, the outlet said.

With just over two minutes left in the game, Johnson intentionally fouled South Carolina’s MiLaysia Fulwiley.

That prompted a bit of pushing and verbal spats before South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso decked Johnson, and chaos erupted.

Milton also briefly made contact with Cardoso before he was removed from the court.

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley apologized after the game for the ugly scene.

“I just want to apologize to the basketball community,” Staley said. “When you’re playing in championship games like this in our league things get heated. No bad intentions. Their emotions got so far ahead of them that sometimes these things happen. So I want to apologize for us playing a part in that. That’s not who we are. That’s not what we’re about, but I’m happy for the players that were able to finish the game to get us another championship.”

But LSU coach Kim Mulkey went a different route, deciding to throw a shot at Cardoso, who is listed at 6-foot-7, for pushing the 5-foot-10 Johnson instead of the 6-foot-3 Angel Reese.

“It’s ugly, it’s not good, no one wants to be a part of that,” Mulkey said. “But I’ll tell you this, I wish [Cardoso] would’ve pushed Angel Reese. If you’re 6-8, don’t push somebody that little. That was uncalled for in my opinion. Let those two girls who were jawing, let them go at it.”
