19-year-old woman shot in Queens after arguing with gunman on bus

A gunman blasted a 19-year-old woman in the hip after arguing with her on a Queens bus Thursday night, police said.

The victim was riding on a Q110 bus in Hollis when a verbal dispute erupted with another rider around 6:20 p.m., according to authorities. 

Police said the two got off at the Francis Lewis Boulevard and Jamaica Avenue stop.

Moments later, the man she was arguing with fired at her, striking her in the hip, according to authorities.

She was taken by EMS to Jamaica Hospital where she was listed in stable condition. 

The gunman was in the wind Thursday night, fleeing southbound on Jamaica Avenue.

The shooting occurred about two hours after a straphanger wrestled a gun away from an “aggressive” agitator on a packed Brooklyn train and shot him in the head.
