Video shows woman sent flying after being hit by car doing donuts in LA street takeover

Shocking video shows a California woman go flying after she was struck by a car doing donuts during a Los Angeles “street takeover.”

The blonde woman is seen in the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and West 63rd Street in the city’s Hyde Park neighborhood over the weekend as a black sedan tightly circles around the crossroads, the footage shared online shows.

She tries to dodge out of the way of the oncoming car but as it swings around it hits the woman and sends her flying through midair.

The woman then hits the pavement and rolls onto her back, apparently unconscious as dozens of onlookers hurry over and two bystanders try to fan her face.

One person also grabs her arm and could be seen trying to lift her limp body, the video shows.

It is unclear if the woman sustained any serious injuries during the incident last Friday night, when a man was also filmed pouring gasoline around a Jeep and setting it on fire before another car does donuts around its burning frame.

Police have estimated that about 50 cars were involved in the latest street takeover but the crowd was already beginning to disperse when officers arrived at around 3:30 a.m. last Saturday, ABC 7 reports.

No arrests were made in the takeover and no injuries were initially reported, according to the local news channel.

The Post has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for more information.

Los Angeles has become inundated with these illegal street takeovers, also known as sideshows, over the past few years, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The events, which are often promoted on social media, draw huge crowds to watch as daredevils spin their cars around intersections, burning tires and sending smoke into the air.

In some cases the street takeovers have become violent, with shootings reported and unruly crowds throwing rocks and pointing laser beams at police officers trying to break them up.

The woman could be seen in the footage trying to get out of the way.

To combat the spread of these illegal activities, the LA City Council voted last month to launch a pilot program at 20 intersections across the city where they would raise the center lines to deter motorists from doing stunts.

It is projected to cost the city $80,000, the LA Times reports.
