RFK Jr. snubbed from Kennedy Family White House visit, photo on St. Patrick’s Day

Ask not what your family can do for you.

Presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was seemingly snubbed from a family gathering at the White House to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday as he plows ahead with his campaign against President Biden.

The political scion’s younger sister Kerry Kennedy posted a photo featuring about 30 members of the storied Democratic Party family dynasty smiling outside the White House alongside Biden near the Rose Garden.

Kerry Kennedy captioned the photo of the gathering with the quote, “It’s not enough to wish the world were better, you must make the world better.”

She added, “President Biden, you make the world better. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.”

Biden and several Kennedy family members quickly reposted it on X.

“From one proud Irish family to another — it was good to have you all back at the White House,” Biden wrote.

About half of all US presidents have some form of Irish heritage in them including Biden, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, and John F. Kennedy.

Kennedy was the first Catholic president. Biden is the second.

Biden, 81, appears to have the most Kennedys serving in the White House of any prior administration, including Caroline Kennedy as ambassador to Australia, Victoria Kennedy as ambassador to Austria, and Joe Kennedy III as special envoy for Northern Ireland.

He also heralded St. Patrick’s Day during brunch with Ireland’s prime minister, Leo Varadkar, keeping up the longstanding tradition of meeting up around the Irish holiday.

The president has made no secret about his deep admiration and affection for the Kennedy family.

Meanwhile, Kennedy Jr., 70, son of the famed Robert Francis Kennedy, has seemingly been ostracized by most of his family who have disavowed his campaign and endorsed Biden.

Kennedy Jr. is set to unveil his vice presidential pick on March 26 in Oakland, Calif. The rumor mill has speculated that he mulled California attorney and entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan, former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura, and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, among others for the role.

“Oh boy, this media! They were sure about Aaron, now they’re sure about Nicole. Tomorrow they’ll be sure about somebody else,” Kennedy Jr.’s campaign director Amaryllis Fox posted on X Saturday.

“The truth is, they’re just going to have to wait until we all get to celebrate Bobby’s brilliant running-mate together in ten days.”

Kennedy Jr. is averaging 15% against Biden’s 35.5% and former President Donald Trump’s 39.8% in the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate of a hypothetical matchup.

That’s enough support to land him on the debate stage alongside Biden and Trump if he can retain those numbers from credible pollsters.
