Tommy Hilfiger’s grand Palm Beach residence has entered contract

Fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger has found a buyer for his Palm Beach abode at last.

The eponymous design company founder, 72, and his wife, former model Dee Ocleppo, 56, have been trying to offload their three-bedroom, four-bathroom Florida residence since September 2022.

The pair initially sought $39.7 million for the 5,000-plus-square-foot Mediterranean-style manse, cutting the price tag to $37.9 million — and then taking the property off the market.

The lakefront estate most recently relisted in November for $35.9 million and, according to listing records, finally entered contract last week, Mansion Global first reported.

The final sale price is not yet known, neither is the identity of the new owner.

“We fell in love with this home and the fact that it was on the lake and on the lake trail,” Ocleppo told Architectural Digest for an August 2022 profile a little over a year after she and Hilfiger paid $21 million for the property in June 2021. “Palm Beach is so green and so lush year-round. Every time someone gives us an orchid plant, they’re never thrown out; they’re attached to a tree.”

The home, which overlooks the Lake Worth Lagoon, has undergone significant changes since Hilfiger and Ocleppo moved in. Immediately after buying the place, the couple began a renovation of it with designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard.

“The first thing we wanted to do, though, was lighten and brighten,” Hilfiger told Architectural Digest. “The wood was mahogany and cherry. All the windows had blinds on them, blocking the light. There was a lot of art, patterned drapes, patterned wallpaper, patterned furniture. Paisleys, florals, Oriental carpets. We did a clean sweep.”

In addition to the pair’s design touches, the house also features an entry foyer, a living room with cypress ceilings and a coral stone fireplace, a formal dining room — and a primary suite with a sitting room, dual bathrooms and dual balconies.

On the grounds, there is a tropically landscaped pool, a summer kitchen, a fireplace and a columned loggia.
