Trump defends Kate Middleton over Mother’s Day photo flap: ‘Everybody doctors’

Former president Donald Trump staunchly defended an embattled Kate Middleton Tuesday after her highly sensationalized Mother’s Day doctoring snafu — claiming the tampered image “shouldn’t be a big deal.”

The 2024 presidential hopeful admitted the Princess of Wales indulged in some minor photography manipulation to publicize her first appearance since undergoing abdominal surgery — but pointed out that every celebrity is guilty of the same crime.

“That shouldn’t be a big deal because everybody doctors,” Trump told Nigel Farage on GB News about the picture, which kickstarted a firestorm of conspiracy theories speculating on Middleton’s well-being.

“You see a movie actor and you meet them and you say, ‘Is that the same person in the picture?'”

Trump told GB News’ Nigel Farage that he doesn’t think Kate Middleton’s doctored picture “shouldn’t be a big deal.”

The Republican added that he was shocked at the subsequent response over the picture’s “very minor doctoring.”

“I don’t understand why there could be such a howl over that,” Trump continued. “It’s a rough period. They’re really going after her.”

Middleton’s overall health — and the status of her whereabouts — have become the center of a social media frenzy since she vanished from the public eye in January to undergo an unspecified planned abdominal surgery.

Kensington Palace had released a statement at the time, stating that the future Queen would not perform any royal duties until after Easter.

Middleton has been caught by paparazzi three times since her operation — though both images and single video appeared extremely grainy and shadowed, only lending the royal to increased scrutiny.

Speculation skyrocketed, however, when Middleton posted a heavily doctored picture of herself and her kids for UK’s Mother’s Day.

Several news organizations immediately pulled the photo, citing that it was extensively “manipulated.”

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused,” Middleton later apologized on X.

Middleton’s hubby Prince William is reportedly furious over his wife’s treatment in the press. The two were spotted on Monday buying groceries after watching her kids play sports.

A palace insider later told The Post that the latest sighting “should hopefully be enough to put an end to the outside noise about her recovery.”
