Deadbeat mom caught on camera pushing daughter to steal purse in restaurant — as they skip out on $500 bill

A lowlife mom was caught on camera pushing her young daughter to steal a purse from a Georgia restaurant — as the thieving family skipped out on a $500 bill.

Mooching mother of three Kenya Butler, 27, was seen in security footage slyly pointing out an unattended purse in a booth at The Juicy Crab in Newman to her 7-year-old daughter, who snags the bag and heads for the door.

Butler had another child in her arms during the March 2 theft and had just finished a seafood feast with a large group of people at the shellfish spot — but the group left without shelling out a cent for the bill, FOX 5 Atlanta reported.

After footage of the crime was aired on FOX 5, tips poured in to the Newnan Police Department and helped them make an arrest.

“After the story aired in the media, we were able to identify Kenya Butler as the offender in this case,” Detective Taylor Dalton told the outlet.

The mother was charged with theft by taking and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the outlet.

Her daughter is not in trouble.

During an interview with police, Butler reportedly refused to speak about why she involved her daughter in the crime.

“While she did comment on some aspects of the case, that’s one part of it, she declined to comment on,” Dalton told FOX 5.

Police are still seeking a man who was seen leaving with the group for ditching the bill, the outlet said.
