Kate Middleton, Prince William ‘enormously touched’ by support after heartbreaking cancer diagnosis: palace

Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William have been moved by the widespread messages of support they have received since the princess revealed her cancer diagnosis, a Kensington Palace spokesperson said Saturday.

“The Prince and Princess are both enormously touched by the kind messages from people here in the UK, across the Commonwealth and around the world in response to Her Royal Highness’ message,” the statement said.

“They are extremely moved by the public’s warmth and support and are grateful for the understanding of their request for privacy at this time.”

Middleton, 42, announced she has been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy treatment in a video statement Friday.

The shocking news came after a three month public absence by the princess following her “major abdominal surgery” in January.
