Vince Young appears to get knocked out in ugly bar fight: video

Former NFL quarterback Vince Young took a brutal punch to the face that seemingly knocked him out cold in a bar fight in Houston on Feb. 9, according to TMZ.

Young, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft who played six seasons and earned two Pro Bowl selections, appeared to be in some sort of argument with a group of males while at Tokyo Joe’s Shot Bar before things turned physical, as seen in video footage obtained by the outlet.

The 40-year-old Young, who wore a white hat and black t-shirt, was being held back by someone before shoving began and a drink was thrown.

The fight eventually moved to the side of the bar, where one guy was seen holding Young by the shirt before he punched him in the face.

Young’s head cocked back and he fell to ground for a few moments before another person helped him to his feet.

The guy that delivered the punch was seen walking away while taking his shirt off.

The Houston Police Department told TMZ they responded to a call by the bar’s owner, who claimed things started due to a conversation about race — and then it became physical when he asked the group to leave.

The owner reportedly also said he was the one who had a drink thrown in his face and took an elbow to the head.

The video had no audio and it is unclear what was said during the altercation.

The names of the others involved were not released and no arrests were made as the bar’s owner did not want to press charges, according to TMZ.

Young has yet to publicly address the incident.
