Free agency is basically over and NFL team win total projections are live as we count down the days until September and another meaningful kickoff hits our TV screens.
In a full regular season, there are a total of 272 games.
This means there’s a maximum of 272 total wins and losses to be spread between 32 franchises, with an expectation that a tie will occur every other year on average.
Using the odds you see below, FanDuel is calculating there will be 269 wins in this upcoming season, three less than is actually possible, but this is compensated by a massive hold on the overs.
Twenty of the 32 teams have odds more than -110 on the over, with some massive numbers like -150, -162, and several -144’s that the sportsbook strangely doesn’t want to move off of.
They know the public loves betting overs and they want to take advantage.
Don’t be afraid to lay an under, especially if you can snag plus-money.

NFL win totals over/under picks
Seattle Seahawks under 7.5 wins (+104)
The NFC West is brutal, Geno Smith took a step back in 2023 and Seattle’s defense allowed 5.5 yards per play last season, near the bottom of the NFL.
The Seahawks had among the worst rushing defenses in the NFL, and they won’t get much of a boost with the loss of linebacker Bobby Wagner.
Head coach Pete Carroll was also surprisingly pushed out of his position.
There’s a lot of question marks here.
Las Vegas Raiders under 6.5 wins (+118)
Seven teams have won less than seven games in each of the last three seasons.
The only teams that are projected for less than that are the Raiders, Titans, Vikings, Giants, Patriots, Cardinals and Panthers.
This is a spot to target at plus-money, given their quarterback situation currently consists of Aidan O’Connell, Gardner Minshew and likely a rookie quarterback to be named later.

Antonio Pierce is their head coach, which doesn’t seem like the best long-term fit given that he has never been an offensive or defensive coordinator in the NFL.
Not everyone can win games and their division is brutal on a yearly basis.
