Moped-riding maniac bashes woman with hammer in unprovoked Central Park attack: ‘Nobody’s gonna find you here’

A moped-riding maniac slammed a hammer into a woman’s back – after grimly warning her, “Nobody’s gonna find you here” – in an unprovoked attack inside Central Park early Monday, cops said.

The stranger approached the 39-year-old victim at 64th Street and Center Drive inside the iconic greenspace around 12:15 a.m. and made the ominous threat, police said.

He then used the implement to strike her in the back without warning, authorities said.

The attacker then zipped away on his moped and had not been caught by later Monday, cops said.

The woman refused medical attention for minor injuries, police said.

The attack came hours after “Boardwalk Empire” actor Michael Stuhlbarg was randomly attacked with a rock by a homeless man near Central Park on the Upper East Side on Sunday night, police said.

The 55-year-old was walking near East 90th and East Drive around 7:45 p.m. when 27-year-old Xavier Israel struck him in the back of the neck with a rock, causing an abrasion, police said Monday.

Israel, who is homeless, has previously been arrested for two assaults as well as a robbery, all taking place in January 2022, police and sources said.

The crimes come just over a month after a Citi Bike-riding thief or thieves terrorized Central Park — targeting four people in little over an hour while boasting to one terrified victim, “I rob people for a living,” cops and sources said at the time.
