Crooks storm NYC smoke shop, rob store at gunpoint with apparent semi-automatic rifle: shocking video

A pair of hooded crooks stormed into a Bronx smoke shop flashing what appeared to be a semi-automatic rifle before robbing this store at gunpoint, shocking surveillance video released by the NYPD shows.

The two thieves walked into Cloudy Cloud Varieties in the Pelham Parkway neighborhood shortly before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, before one of the hoodlums pulled out what appears to be an AR-15 style rifle from a plastic garbage bag — then pointed it at nervous employees, the footage shows.

According to police, the pair made off with $1,000 in cash and about $2,500 in merchandise before hopping into a waiting black SUV parked outside on White Plains Road and taking off.

The SUV sped west on Lydig Avenue and toward Bronx Park East, and the pair remained on the loose late Wednesday.

The gunman is seen in the video wearing a black hoodie with red trim, black pants and a black-and-white bandana over his face, according to the cops.

He is seen wearing white gloves.

His accomplice is wearing a red hoodie with black sweatpants and white sneakers and is also seen wearing a dark-colored bandana over his face.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
