If I make a $100 deposit and earn $20 in sports bonus, I’ll have a couple requirements from the deposit match promotion.
Let’s say I want to bet on The Masters and am deciding between using the bonus funds or the $100 in deposited cash.
I could use the $20 of bonus on Scottie Scheffler +400, for example. A win would profit $80 in cash but I can’t withdraw the cash until I meet the 10x wagering rule. Additionally, a wager funded by the bonus doesn’t count towards that rule.
Alternatively, I could use the $100 of cash on the same bet. However the bet plays out, the $100 would count towards half of the $200 wagering requirement (10 x $20).

The first bet insurance only has two outcomes of the promo depending on how the bet plays out. You’ll either win and profit cash or BetMGM covers whatever your stake loss was up to the maximum.
