Driver shares disturbing footage after man allegedly jumped on her car’s hood, smashed windshield with his fists

A woman driving home at night had a disturbing encounter with a man who allegedly jumped on her car hood and smashed her windshield with his fists while she was on her way home from work.

It happened about 7.30 p.m. on Saturday in a southeastern suburb of Brisbane, 9News reports.

The woman turned onto Freeth St West in Ormiston when a man allegedly jumped out in front of her car.

The driver, who wished to remain anonymous, said she saw a man and woman walking on the road and they appeared to be arguing.

She slowed down and tried to drive around them, but the man stood in her way.

He jumped onto her car hood and “punched the windscreen several times”.

“It happened so quickly, it was a shock,” she said.

The woman alleges the man also tried to get inside her car through the passenger door but it was locked.

“I couldn’t speed off because the woman was behind the car and if I reversed I could’ve hit her,” she said.

“I couldn’t go forward because the car detected a person in front and stopped.

“I couldn’t move the vehicle forward until he jumped off the [car hood], that’s when I took off.”

The driver immediately drove to Cleveland Police Station, with a “shattered” windscreen that fell on her and cut her hands.

“I couldn’t see a thing in front of me, I really don’t know how I got home that night,” she said.
