Is Brandon Aiyuk returning to the 49ers? Who knows.
But his agent suggests that he hasn’t requested a trade.
Quote tweeting a report saying that Aiyuk “requested a trade” from the team, his agent Ryan Williams replied saying that the supposed NFL Insider “needs better sources.”
The star wide receiver is set to make over $14 million this season on his fifth-year option prior to entering free agency next offseason.
The 2020 first-round pick, who turned 26 years old in March, has been in offseason rumors ever since his 49ers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in February.

Aiyuk’s girlfriend poured gasoline on the fire regarding rumors of the receiver potentially asking out of San Francisco with a curious social media message.
She later feuded with 49er fans on social media one week later over Aiyuk’s future.
Rumors have since circulated about Aiyuk potentially being a Pittsburgh Steelers target, which he did little to dispel.
Aiyuk supposedly unfollowed the 49ers on social media, continually adding fuel to the rumors around his future in the bay.

Aiyuk has recorded 3,931 receiving yards in his four-year career, crossing the 1,000-yard threshold in each of the last two seasons, including a career-high 1,342 last year.
Aiyuk has also hauled in 25 touchdown catches since being selected No. 25 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, including seven last season.
The 6-foot, 200-pound playmaker was named a second-team All-Pro for the first time in his career in 2023.
