What Giants might do at cornerback in 2024 NFL Draft

Considering the importance of the position — and the vulnerability of a defense if it is lacking here — a case can be made that finding a cornerback to start alongside Deonte Banks is one of the most important spots to fill on the Giants’ roster.

Erstwhile starter Adoree’ Jackson remains on the open market and left behind are Cor’Dale Flott and Darnay Holmes, who are better suited to slot-corner roles.

Tre Hawkins entering his second season could not hold onto a starting job as a rookie.

Figure that anywhere after the first round is an appropriate time to select a corner.

T.J. Tampa (Iowa State), Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (Missouri), Kamari Lassiter (Georgia), Khyree Jackson (Oregon) and Max Melton (Rutgers) could all be Day 2 considerations, as could Mike Sainristil (Michigan), who is a slot guy but also extremely versatile.
