Susan Sarandon, ex-NYC prof who pulled machete on Post reporter spotted at Columbia University anti-Israel protest

Actress Susan Sarandon — who was dropped last year from a talent agency over her anti-Jewish rant — and Shellyne Rodriguez, the ex-professor who threatened a Post reporter with a machete, were both spotted at an anti-Israel protest at Columbia University Friday.

The Oscar-winning “Dead Man Walking” star was seen strolling among demonstrators with “Free Palestine” signs while sporting a grin and an odd leather coat jacket decked out with an image of Bart Simpson on its red leather sleeve.

The 77-year-old celebrity has rocked the same quirky get-up at other anti-Israel demonstrations in recent months.

Rodriguez, who was fired from her latest teaching gig at Cooper Union for anti-Israel screeds, was spotted at the protest chatting with young demonstrators while wearing a traditional Arabic head scarf around her neck.

“I am here to support the students who understand that it is very important to have their voices heard,” Sarandon said in her remarks.

“It is important at this point to challenge all systems that are full of hate and bigotry and intolerance and injustice,” the Oscar-winner added.

  • Hizzoner blamed the on-campus chaos on insurgents who have a “history of escalating situations and trying to create chaos” instead of protesting peacefully.
  • Columbia’s embattled president Minouche Shafik, who has faced mounting calls to resign for not cracking down sooner, issued a statement Wednesday saying the on-campus violence had “pushed the university to the brink.”
  • Columbia University president Minouche Shafik was accused of “gross negligence” while testifying before Congress. Shafik refused to say if the phrase “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is antisemitic.
