Jets stunningly trade down three times to start NFL draft Day 3, add 2025 pick

The Jets wheeled and dealed three times in the fourth round of the draft on Saturday adding draft capital from the Packers, Lions and 49ers.

Gang Green had been scheduled to make the 111th overall pick before they opted to package that to Green Bay for the No. 126 and No. 190 picks in this year’s draft, but Joe Douglas wasn’t done there.

When it came time to make the 126th pick, the Jets worked out a second deal, this time with the Lions, to trade that selection and add a third-round pick in the 2025 draft.

They made one additional move when it came time to make a pick at 129, shipping that selection to the 49ers for a pair of fifth-round picks – the No. 173 and No. 176 selections – in this year’s draft.

Gang Green ended up selecting Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen with the No. 134 pick.

The Jets have been very active in the draft, including moving up in the third round to take wide receiver Malachi Corley and the three trades to move back in the draft on Saturday.
