Stormy Daniels ‘likely’ to appear as witness in Trump hush money trial today

Porn star Stormy Daniels is expected to appear as a witness Tuesday in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial, her lawyer said.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, will “likely” be called as a witness in the trial on Tuesday, her attorney Clark Brewster told the Associated Press.

The porn star will likely reveal some details of her sexual encounter with Trump — without getting too explicit, a prosecutor said.

“The general details of what occurred, including the sex act, are a significant part of the story and are very important for us,” prosecutor Susan Hoffinger said.

“The details of the encounter are important,” Hoffinger added. “It’s important for us to establish her credibility.”

But the prosecutor noted there will be some limits to Daniels’ testimony.

“In terms of the sexual act, it will be very basic,” she told the court, adding, “It will not involve descriptions of genitalia.”

Earlier Tuesday, the former president, 77, wrote in a since-deleted Truth Social post that said he was “recently told” who the witness would be and complained he should have been given more notice.

“I have just recently been told who the witness is today. This is unprecedented, no time for lawyers to prepare. No Judge has ever run a trial in such a biased and partisan way. He is CROOKED & HIGHLY CONFLICTED, even taking away my First Amendment Rights,” Trump wrote.

“Now he’s threatening me with JAIL, & THEY HAVE NO CASE – This according to virtually all Legal Scholars & Experts! Why isn’t the Fake News Media reporting his Conflict?”

The post comes after Judge Juan M. Merchan warned Trump that additional violations of a gag order barring inflammatory out-of-court comments about witnesses, jurors and others closely connected to the case could result in jail time.

Trump has been fined twice — for a total of $10,000 — for violating the gag order since the trial began.

Daniels’ lawyer did not immediately respond to request for comment Tuesday.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of fudging business records to cover up a $130,000 payoff made by his then-attorney Michael Cohen to Daniels to keep quiet about what she has called an awkward and unexpected sexual encounter with Trump in 2006.

Trump has denied having sex with Daniels.
