Jalen Brunson leaves Knicks’ Game 7 with fractured hand in yet another injury disaster
Talk about adding one final indignity to a season full of injury for the Knicks.
Jalen Brunson did not return for the fourth quarter, and the team announced he was out for the remainder of their Game 7 loss to the with a fractured left hand.
Brunson finished fifth in MVP voting and fourth in the league in scoring during the regular season, and he entered Sunday’s game leading the NBA in postseason scoring at 33.7 points per game.
He finished Sunday’s game with 17 points on 6-for-17 shooting.
The Knicks already were without Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson and Bojan Bogdanovic with season-ending injuries, and OG Anunoby lasted only 4:41 in his return after missing four games with a hamstring injury.
Josh Hart also was playing through an abdominal strain suffered in Game 6.Â
