By all accounts, Aaron Rodgers looked amazing in offseason OTAs, and oddsmakers have responded by making him the clear favorite to win the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
DraftKings opened at +100 odds for Rodgers to win the award, just ahead of fellow quarterback Joe Burrow (+200), who is also coming off an injury.
Rodgers, 40, is attempting to return from a torn Achilles injury that could have ended his career, considering his age.
After getting injured just four snaps into Week 1 last season, Rodgers underwent an experimental surgery and seemingly responded well, so much so that he contemplated a same-season return last December.
The narrative is clear for Rodgers, who has a rebuilt offensive line that profiles as at least league average, health permitting.
Rodgers will also have the benefit of two budding stars in running back Breece Hall and receiver Garrett Wilson, along with new addition Mike Williams.

The argument for Rodgers is obvious and the same goes for Burrow and Kirk Cousins, although the injury narrative is slightly less enticing for a voter.
Last season, voters threw us a curveball, forgoing the obvious Damar Hamlin storyline and voting for Joe Flacco to win Comeback Player of the Year after the veteran quarterback led the Browns to the playoffs.
This makes the betting market a bit tricky here; the award is no longer just injury-related, there’s much more to go on here.
This makes players like Sam Darnold (30/1) and Justin Fields (40/1) worth a wager, considering they have a chance to make significant impacts on new teams this season.
