Michelle Beadle rips Harrison Butker over his controversial speech: ‘Go f–k yourself’

Harrison Butker is facing more backlash for his controversial speech.

Numerous people have spoken out against the Chiefs kicker’s recent commencement address to Benedictine College which saw him cover a number of topics ranging from politics and President Joe Biden to gender issues.

And now, Michelle Beadle has joined the critics, making her voice heard on the “Over the Top” podcast alongside Peter Rosenberg.

Butker, 28, during his speech, said women have been “diabolically lied to” on a host of topics, including their role in the workplace — something Beadle, the ex-ESPN host, didn’t agree with, going as far as to say the kicker’s words were “garbage.”

“As a woman, I think everything he said was garbage. I think when you hide hateful thoughts and feelings and bigotry behind the quote unquote cloak of religion, I tend to roll my eyes and stop listening,” Beadle said on Tuesday. “But I think the fact that there were women in that audience that were not OK. I mean, granted, there were some that clearly were, but some that weren’t that have come out since and said, what the hell, dude? We just worked our asses off for years. And you’re gonna come in here and tell us that’s all cute and stuff, but what you’re really gonna wanna do is get married and have babies.

“Then you’ll feel important. Like go f–k yourself.”

Michelle Beadle gave her take on Harrison Butker’s speech.

Beadle also added it was her right to criticize Butker for his speech.

“And by the way, it’s also my freedom of speech to say, go f–k yourself, Harrison Butker. That’s my freedom. I can do that,” she said.

Patrick Mahomes broke his silence about his teammate on Wednesday, defending Butker’s character.

However, the star Chiefs quarterback admitted he disagreed with his teammate on “certain things.”

“I’ve known Harrison for seven years. I judge him by the character he shows every single day,” Mahomes said after one of the Chiefs OTAs. “We’re not always going to agree, and there are certain things he said that I don’t necessarily agree with. But I know the person he is and he’s doing what he can to lead people in the right direction.”

Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt and actress Patricia Heaton have been among those who have defended Butker’s speech.

Butker has been with the Chiefs since 2017 and is a three-time Super Bowl champion.

Last season, he went 33-for-35 field goal attempts, including going 5-for-5 from 50 yards and beyond.
