This photo did nothing to calm the Patrick Mahomes ‘dad bod’ chatter

Patrick Mahomes can’t escape “dad bod” chatter.

The star Chiefs quarterback, who went viral earlier this year over a shirtless appearance on “Inside the NFL,” became the talk of social media Tuesday as fans weighed in on his physique as he arrived at the team’s facility for the start of OTAs.

“Dad bod in full flow,” one person wrote in response to the Chiefs’ video on X of Mahomes, 28.

“What is this build,” another added with a crying emoji.

“Got that offseason build,” one X account wrote. “My boy was in Texas eating good!”

The “dad bod” narrative originated in January when a shirtless Mahomes was filmed celebrating the Chiefs’ AFC Championship win over the Ravens with teammates in the locker room.

Of course, the internet being the internet had much to say about the three-time Super Bowl champion’s frame — including Mahomes himself, who responded to the buzz.

“Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!?” Mahomes wrote on X in January, along with the hashtag “DadBodSZN.”

Coors Light played into the “dad bod” talk in April, releasing two T-shirts for sale in tandem with Mahomes, with the proceeds going to his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.

It’s been an eventful offseason for Mahomes.

The quarterback recently supported his wife, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie Brittany Mahomes, at the launch of the magazine’s 60th anniversary issue on the East Coast.

The couple also attended Kelce Jam, the charity concert hosted by Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in Kansas City on May 18.

Mahomes and Kelce earned their third Super Bowl title with the Chiefs in February when Kansas City topped the 49ers in Super Bowl 2024.

Mahomes also nabbed his third Super Bowl MVP prize after the 25-22 overtime win.

The Chiefs begin their 2024-25 campaign at home against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5.
