50 Cent sells documentary on Diddy sex assault allegations to Netflix after ‘massive bidding war’
Rapper 50 Cent’s documentary about the sex assault allegations engulfing his nemesis Sean “Diddy” Combs has just been bought by Netflix after an apparent “massive bidding war.”
Multiple networks and streaming services had been trying to land the series on Combs, 54, ever since 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, started teasing the doc several months ago, sources told TMZ.
Fiddy — who routinely revels in his longtime rival’s disgraceful downfall — confirmed the deal late Tuesday.
“NETFLIX wins the bidding war but if more victims keep coming out I’m gonna need more episodes,” 50 Cent said in an Instagram post.
The series — produced via 50’s G-Unit Film and Television Studios — will reportedly focus on allegations of abuse by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and a slew of other women.
The 48-year-old “In Da Club” rapper said last year that proceeds from the docuseries would go toward victims of sexual assault and rape.
It wasn’t immediately clear how much Netflix paid for the series, or when it will start streaming.
News of the deal came as the latest alleged victim came forward to accuse the “Bad Boy 4 Life” rapper of assault.
Model Crystal McKinney slapped Diddy with a lawsuit Tuesday alleging he drugged her when she was 22 and then forced her to perform oral sex on him during a visit to his New York City studio two decades ago.
Since Ventura accused Combs of rape and abuse back in November, he’s been hit with six lawsuits alleging abuse — including the latest from McKinney.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent has repeatedly trolled his rival on social media amid his ongoing legal woes.
His prickly relationship with him dates back two decades with 50 Cent dogging Diddy for boosting his own career by using the name of late collaborator Biggie Smalls, raised doubts about Diddy’s sexuality and even suggesting that Diddy knows who shot Biggie but is too scared to seek revenge.
