Rodeo star Spencer Wright, wife still praying there’s ‘time for a miracle’ for 3-year-old

Rodeo star Spencer Wright and his wife have not given up on saving their brain-dead 3-year-old son — saying they’re holding out hope there’s still “time for a miracle.”

Wright and his wife, Kallie, had planned to end care for little Levi on Wednesday, the day after he drove his toy tractor into a river in Utah.

But they changed that plan at the last minute on advice from a new doctor helping their son, they said in an update shared by family spokesperson Mindy Sue Clark.

“She felt strongly that we needed to give him more time,” they said alongside a gut-wrenching image of Levi being held in bed by his mom as his dad looked on.

“Now this doesn’t mean that in 12 hours we won’t be right back in the same position with him in my arms preparing for goodbye but it does mean we have time for a miracle!” they said.

“Pray the hardest you ever have, I beg of you! However this ends, it’ll be the Lord’s will.”

Levi has been hospitalized since Tuesday night, when he drove his tor tractor into a river in Utah, the family previously shared, saying then that he was not expected to survive.

“Levi’s heart is beating on its own, he has a will to breathe but his sweet little brain was without oxygen too long and there is no coming back from that,” an earlier update read.

“We cuddled him all night and feel strongly that his spirit is no longer with us,” the initial post continued.

Clark, however, later told ABC4 that Spencer and Kallie were holding out hope that the child would pull through.

Spencer Wright, 33, ranked 35th in the world in 2023 by ProRodeo.

He comes from a long line of famous cowboys – including his father, ProRodeo Hall of Famer Bill Wright.

“The entire ProRodeo community’s heart aches for the Wright family,” PRCA CEO Tom Glause said in a statement following Levi’s accident. “We will continue to hold them in our thoughts and prayers.”
