Tom Brady ‘gets summer started’ with his kids in new Memorial Day video

The summer has officially started for Tom Brady.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the legendary NFL quarterback posted a video of himself enjoying the holiday weekend with his kids, son Benjamin and daughter Vivian, as they did water sports and took in the sunshine.

“You guys okay if we get summer started? Hope everyone is having a great MDW!” Brady, 46, captioned the clip.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion could be seen wakeboarding in the clip, as other moments captured featured the group hanging out aboard a boat and splashing in the water.

Brady shares Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. He also co-parents son Jack, 16, with his ex-girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan.

The former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback seems to be making the most of his summer vacation before entering the booth this fall as Fox’s lead NFL analyst.

He’ll be taking over for Greg Olsen, who was paired with Kevin Burkhardt on the network’s top team.

Olsen, who will remain with Fox but on their No. 2 NFL announcing team with Joe Davis, recently shared with USA Today how Brady had picked his brain as part of the preparation.

“I was happy to share some of that with him,” Olsen said. “Obviously, his playing career and his resume and whatnot is an all timer. So you know, we’ll see how the year goes. I don’t think there’s any real correlation between being a great player or an average player and how that correlates to being a great broadcaster or an average broadcaster. I think we’ve seen examples on both ends of that spectrum.”

Last week, the former NFL tight end won the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst for his work this past season.

Brady, who retired from the NFL in February 2023 after 23 seasons, revealed in January that he got in some in-studio reps with Burkhardt.

“I’ve been out to Fox Studios a few times and done some really dry runs with Kevin, who’s tremendous at what he does. I’m super excited to join an amazing team,” Brady said on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

It’s been an eventful start to the summer season for Brady, who is just weeks removed from his widely seen and controversial Netflix roast.

Days after the special aired on the streamer, Brady said on “The Pivot” podcast that he “didn’t like the way it affected my kids.”

“I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way that it affected my kids,” Brady said.

“The hardest part about the bittersweet aspect, when you do something you think is one way, and you’re like, ‘I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected the people I care about most in the world.’

“It makes you a better parent, going through it. Because sometimes you’re naive. You don’t know … When I signed up for that, I loved that people were making fun of me.”

Bündchen, whose divorce from Brady was finalized in 2022 after 13 years of marriage, was at the center of some jokes, with a source telling People the supermodel was “deeply disappointed” in the aftermath.
