Thieving pair caught on video during brazen $55K jewelry heist at NYC mall

A thieving pair were caught on video bagging up more than $50,000 in jewelry during a brazen heist from a Brooklyn mall, authorities said. 

Surveillance video shows the young man and woman, him wearing a black Patrón Tequila sweatshirt and her also in a hoodie, with her long blonde locks flowing, in the parking garage of the Kings Plaza Mall on Avenue U near Flatbush Avenue.

The duo walked through the garage and pried open a door at around 11:50 p.m. Saturday, dodging security before making their way to a jewelry stand that was part of an island kiosk, cops said.

The duo fled out of the mall and had not been caught by Thursday. NYPD

The man filled up a bag with about $55,000 in valuables before the two ran off, heading up a flight of stairs.

They were last seen heading across Flatbush Avenue to Avenue U toward Ryder Street, police said. 

No injuries were reported during the heist.
