‘Bad breath rapist’ told unsuspecting multimillionaire girlfriend to move on as he will ‘die in jail’ — but she hasn’t ditched him yet

The newly captured former fugitive dubbed the ‘bad breath rapist’ told his multimillionaire florist girlfriend to “pretend you never met me” and move on with her life as he will “die in jail” following his arrest in California, The Post can exclusively reveal.

Tuen Kit Lee, 55, was nabbed by police near his unsuspecting girlfriend Jie Su’s $4.3 million San Francisco area mansion on Tuesday, after 17 years on the run from a rape conviction in Massachusetts.

According to Su, she spoke to her boyfriend briefly on the phone after his arrest, where he apologized for turning her life upside down, and urged her to start fresh.

Lee had been living with his partner Jie Su, a wealthy florist owner known as “Grace” (pictured), who Massachusetts State Police say had no clue about his violent past and thought his name was ‘Randy’. Jie Su

“He said, ‘I’m so sorry. Just pretend you never met me. Take care of yourself. I love you so much,'” Su told The Post through tears.

“He said he might die inside the jail [and that he was] ‘sorry I made so much chaos for you’.”

Su, who is known as “Grace” and owns a successful flower business, told The Post she knew her lover of 10 years as “Randy Lee” and was completely “shocked” to learn it was not his real name — and about his dark past.

The first she knew of any of it was when police stopped their car and announced Randy was actually Lee, a wanted rapist they had combed the country to find.

Lee’s disturbing past involves a violent break-in at the home of a waitress who worked at his family’s restaurant in the Boston suburb of Quincy, on Feb. 2, 2005.

He held his victim at knifepoint, zip-tied her hands to a bed and brutally raped her, police said at the time.

Lee was arrested on Tuesday after 16 years on the run.

Although he was wearing a ski mask, investigators were able to identify him in part because the victim recognized the stench of her boss’s horrendous halitosis, according to cops.

Su said the pair met at a bus stop in San Francisco about 10 years ago and soon started a relationship before Lee started working at her city store as an assistant who pruned flowers and cleaned.

“I suggested we visit his family and he didn’t want to. He said there was an issue with them and I said maybe I could help make things better,” she explained.

“He didn’t want to talk.

“I thought he just had financial problems.”

Lee had already fled the state by the time he was found guilty at a 2007 trial on charges of kidnapping and rape.

DNA evidence also linked him to the crime, as well as the victim being able to ID him through his odor.

“He was ultimately identified by DNA and his horrible breath, which produced the nickname ‘The Bad Breath Rapist’,” the state police said.

Despite Su’s shock at discovering her partner is a convicted rapist who has been lying to her about his identity for the entirety of their relationship, she still considers him her fiance – even though she said they are not officially engaged.

“I want to marry him,” Su told The Post, adding that she had previously expressed this desire to Lee, who told her he “needs time”.

“I believe he made a mistake but I don’t believe he’s a bad person.

“Everybody likes him. He’s very gentle to a woman.

“He takes care of me a lot.”

Su said she plans to continue supporting him in any way she can.

Lee was transferred back to Massachusetts overnight and is expected to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on Friday, authorities said. He will also now face additional charges of being a fugitive from justice.
