Tyreek Hill jokes about Tua Tagovailoa taking Ozempic after being ‘fat as s–t’

Tyreek Hill had some laughs about Tua Tagovailoa’s recent body transformation.

Tagovailoa entered Dolphins OTAs this offseason looking extra svelte compared to his girth at the end of last season.

Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Hill said, “I saw Tua at Pro Bowl I was kinda scared. He was fat as s–t…How skinny he got, what’s the stuff everybody is taking, Ozempic?”

Fellow Dolphins wideout Jaylen Waddle was wistful about Tagovailoa’s old body type.

“I told him I miss chubby Tua,” Waddle said, as covered by NFL Network.

For his part, Tagovailoa said he accomplished the weight loss the old fashioned way.

“Diet and exercise” and cutting sugars, the quarterback said, as covered by the Palm Beach Post.

“I feel better,” Tagovailoa added. “Quicker on my feet. More nimble. I can extend plays more.”

FS1 host Colin Cowherd thought that Tagovailoa’s weight loss might be more of a liability than an asset.

“I saw something this weekend where Tua Tagovailoa showed up to a promotional event and looked noticeably thin. He’s listed at 225 and he looked to be about 200 pounds. And this is a pocket quarterback… It is a little alarming,” Cowherd said earlier this week.

“He looked really, really thin. Tom Brady lost weight when he retired, that I get, but I think Tom kept some weight on because he was a quarterback. Aesthetics matter and it worries me. There’s never been a great skinny quarterback in league history. Mannings weren’t, Favre wasn’t, Brady was 230, Big Ben, Elway… You think Aaron Rodgers is thin? I’m 6’1” ½, 195-ish…

“Aaron Rodgers is 6’1” ½, 225. Aaron is 30 pounds heavier than me and I don’t think I’m that thin. I like my quarterbacks like my furniture – big and hard to move. Tua is not a hyper-athletic quarterback who wants to get faster. He’s not really that mobile, he’s not big, he doesn’t have a power arm.”
