Queen Camilla moved to tears as Allied forces commemorate 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings: photos

Queen Camilla was overcome with emotion as a war veteran recounted the tragic loss of his best friend on the beaches of Normandy in 1944 during a commemorative event in Portsmouth, England.

Other Allied forces, including those from the US, Belgium, and France, held events along the northern coast of France on June 5th, 2024.

June 6, 2024, will mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings along the Normandy coast during World War II.
