Daughter taken into custody after father, 70, found stabbed to death inside NYC home: sources

A 70-year-old man was stabbed to death inside his Queens home Wednesday morning — and his daughter is now in custody, sources and police said.

Peter Cavak was knifed several times to the torso and his wife discovered the grisly scene at their Ozone Park home on 109th Avenue and 114th Street, according to cops and the sources.

Moments before the fatal knifing, the daughter called her mom who was upstairs and claimed her father was going to hurt her, sources said.

The mom heard the pair arguing and rushed downstairs, where she saw her husband hunched over, the sources said.

Cavak’s wife didn’t realize he had been stabbed until EMS arrived and pronounced him dead, sources said.

The couple’s daughter, who is in her 30s, fled the home after the stabbing and was tracked down by law enforcement hours later in New Jersey.

She was taken into custody and had not been charged by Wednesday night.
